EF-1 α1 Antibody (CBP-KK1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EF-1 alpha 1 protein of mammalian origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-EF-1 α1 antibody (CBP-KK1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EF-1 alpha 1 plays a crucial role in protein synthesis as a component of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is essential for delivering aminoacyl tRNAs to the ribosome during translation. This process ensures accurate and efficient protein synthesis, necessary for numerous cellular functions and overall organismal health. EF-1 α1 shows predominant expression in tissues such as brain, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, and pancreas, highlighting widespread physiological importance. Located on chromosome 6q14.1, EF-1 α1 has been identified as an autoantigen in Felty syndrome, a condition characterized by rheumatoid arthritis and increased susceptibility to infections.
