EDG-6 Antibody (1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects EDG-6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-EDG-6 antibody (1) is available as the non-conjugated format. EDG-6 protein, a member of the endothelial differentiation gene (EDG) family of G protein-coupled receptors, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by binding to lysophospholipid mediators such as sphingosine-1-phosphate (SPP) and lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). Notably, EDG-6 is characterized as a low-affinity receptor for SPP, which is significant because EDG-6 allows for the modulation of various biological processes, including cell survival, growth, migration, and differentiation. Expression of EDG-6 is primarily found in lymphoid and hematopoietic tissues as well as in the lung, where EDG-6 signals through G(i/o) proteins to activate growth-related pathways. This signaling is essential for maintaining the balance of immune responses and tissue homeostasis. The EDG family, which includes other receptors such as EDG-1, EDG-2, and EDG-4, is known for diverse roles in different tissues, highlighting the importance of EDG-6 in the broader context of G protein-coupled receptor signaling. With specific reactivity and versatile applications, EDG-6 (1) monoclonal antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate mechanisms of cell signaling and the physiological roles of the EDG receptor family.
