SEE ALSO...

ECH1 Antibody (B-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ECH1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ECH1 Antibody (B-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ECH1, or enoyl Coenzyme A hydratase 1, is a 328 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway, specifically catalyzing the isomerization of 3-trans,5-cis-dienoyl-CoA to 2-trans,4-trans-dienoyl-CoA. This enzymatic function is vital for proper metabolism of fatty acids, which are essential for energy production and cellular function. ECH1 is localized in both the mitochondrion and peroxisome, organelles integral to lipid metabolism and energy homeostasis. The gene encoding ECH1 is located on human chromosome 19, a region that harbors several immunoglobulin superfamily members, including killer cell and leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptors, various intercellular adhesion molecules, and Fc receptors, highlighting ECH1′s potential involvement in broader immunological processes.
