E2F-3 Antibody (PG30) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects E2F-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-E2F-3 antibody (PG30) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E2F-3 protein plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly in the transition from G1 phase to S phase, where DNA synthesis occurs. This regulation is vital for proper cell proliferation and differentiation, as dysregulation of E2F-3 can lead to uncontrolled cell growth and is often implicated in cancer development. E2F-3 functions as a transcription factor that activates genes necessary for cell cycle progression, and E2F-3 activity is tightly controlled by interactions with retinoblastoma (Rb) protein. Rb protein, when functional, binds to E2F-3 and inhibits transcriptional activity, thereby preventing premature entry into S phase. Understanding E2F-3 dynamics and regulatory mechanisms is essential for developing therapeutic strategies targeting cell cycle dysregulation in various cancers.
