SEE ALSO...

E2A Antibody (Yae) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects E2A protein, also known as ITF-1, in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) applications. E2A monoclonal antibody (Yae) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E2A protein, a member of the helix-loop-helix transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression during B cell maturation and myogenic differentiation. E2A protein is essential for the formation of heterodimers with Myo D and other basic helix-loop-helix proteins, which bind to E box elements in the regulatory regions of muscle-specific genes. This interaction is vital for proper differentiation of muscle cells, as E2A protein ensures the activation of genes necessary for muscle development. E2A protein forms both homo- and hetero-oligomers allowing for precise regulation of gene expression, making E2A protein a key player in lineage-specific transcriptional control. E2A monoclonal antibody (Yae) enables researchers to gain insights into mechanisms of muscle cell differentiation and broader implications of transcription factor interactions in various biological processes.

Good afternnon, we are interested in this E2A antibody. Could I ask the name of clone and if it can be used for FC? If yes, is it the conjugated version? Thank you.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-416 X be used instead of the standard form sc-416?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
