DZIP1 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DZIP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DZIP1 Antibody (C-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DZIP1, also known as DAZ interacting protein 1, is a crucial 867 amino acid protein that exists in three isoforms: DZIPb, DZIPt1, and DZIPt2. DZIP1 is primarily localized in the testis, oocytes, ovary, and fetal brain, as well as in embryonic stem cells and germ cells, with a notable presence in the nucleus and some cytoplasmic distribution in spermatogonia within the testis. DZIP1 belongs to the C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, characterized by a single C2H2-type zinc-finger region, which is essential for interaction with the DAZ protein, a relationship that plays a significant role in promoting spermiogenesis. Expression of DZIP1 is absent in individuals with Sertoli cell-only syndrome, a condition marked by the lack of germ cells in the testis, indicating that DZIP1 absence may contribute to the pathogenesis of male sterility associated with this syndrome.
