SEE ALSO...

Dynactin p150 Antibody (12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dynactin p150 protein of mouse, rat, human, and canine origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Dynactin p150 antibody (12) is available as the non-conjugated format. Dynactin p150, also known as p150-glued, plays a crucial role in the cellular transport system by acting as a key component of the dynactin complex, which is essential for proper functioning of the dynein motor protein. Dynactin p150 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and particularly enriched in neurons, where Dynactin p150 facilitates transport of organelles along microtubules, ensuring distribution of cellular components necessary for neuronal function and health. Interaction between dynactin and dynein is vital for various cellular processes, including organelle transport, formation of mitotic spindle, and cytokinesis, highlighting Dynactin p150′s importance in maintaining cellular organization and function. Dynactin complex is composed of several subunits, including p22, p50, p62, p150, and Arp1, which work together to enhance versatility and efficiency of dynein-driven transport mechanisms.

I am using Dynactin p150 (12): sc-135890 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
