Dynactin 5 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dynactin 5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Dynactin 5 antibody (D-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dynactin 5, also known as Dynactin p25, plays a crucial role in regulating dynactin-membranous cargo interactions, which is essential for retrograde vesicle trafficking. Dynactin 5 is a key component of the Arp1 filament pointed-end-binding subcomplex of the Dynactin shoulder complex, which also includes Dynactin 6, Dynactin p62, and ACTR10. Dynactin 5′s interaction with other proteins within this complex is vital for proper functioning of the Dynein microtubule motor, as these interactions facilitate binding necessary for various cytoplasmic Dynein-driven activities. Dynactin 5′s structural integrity, characterized by its isoleucine-patch motif and left-handed parallel β-helix fold, is important for effective cargo binding and transport within the cell.
