Datasheets
  • dUTPase Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ dUTPase antibody provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 203-219 near the C-terminus of dUTPase of human origin
  • recommended for detection of dUTPase of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA; also reactive with additional species, including and canine, bovine and porcine
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for dUTPase Antibody (H-9) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with dUTPase Antibody (H-9) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

dUTPase Antibody (H-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects dUTPase protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-dUTPase antibody (H-9) is available as the non-conjugated form. dUTPase, also known as deoxyuridine 5′-triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase or DUT, plays a critical role in nucleotide metabolism and is essential for maintaining genomic integrity. DUT hydrolyzes dUTP to dUMP and diphosphate in the presence of magnesium ions, a reaction vital for preventing uracil incorporation into DNA. High levels of uracil in DNA can lead to mutations and ultimately cell death, highlighting DUT′s importance in cell viability and potential as a target for anticancer therapies. Additionally, dUMP, the product of this hydrolysis, serves as a precursor for thymidine nucleotides, crucial for DNA replication. DUT is expressed in various tissues, with isoforms DUT-N and DUT-M localizing to the nucleus and mitochondrion, respectively, with DUT-N being the predominant form. DUT′s ability to regulate nucleotide pools underscores its significance in cellular processes and relevance in cancer research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166856 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
