Datasheets
  • DUSP8 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ DUSP8 antibody, cited in 2 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 18-43 near the N-terminus of DUSP8 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of DUSP8 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG3 BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for DUSP8 Antibody (B-9) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with DUSP8 Antibody (B-9) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

DUSP8 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects DUSP8 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DUSP8 antibody (B-9) is available as the non-conjugated form. DUSP8 plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by acting as a dual specificity phosphatase, selectively dephosphorylating both phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues on mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). This function is vital as DUSP8 helps regulate MAPK pathway activity, which is essential for various physiological processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and response to stress. DUSP8 is predominantly expressed in the adult brain, heart, and skeletal muscle, and cytoplasmic localization is significant for modulating MAPK signaling in response to stimuli such as nerve growth factor and insulin. Additionally, DUSP8 has been implicated in pathophysiological mechanisms associated with alcohol dependence, highlighting potential as a therapeutic target in related disorders.

Has this product ever been tested for use in mouse?

Asked by: Richard123
Thank you for your question. DUSP8 Antibody (B-9): sc-271250 is only recommended for detection of DUSP8 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. There is no data indicating that this antibody also works in murine tissues.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271250 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
