SEE ALSO...

DUSP12 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DUSP12 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DUSP12 (H-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DUSP12, also known as dual specificity phosphatase 12 or YVH1, is a 340 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by dephosphorylating both phosphothreonine and phosphotyrosine residues within mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinases. This dual specificity is vital for regulating MAP kinase pathways, which are essential for various cellular processes, including growth, differentiation, and response to stress. DUSP12 expression is induced by numerous growth factors and cellular stresses, allowing DUSP12 to act as a negative regulator of MAP kinase superfamily members, thereby maintaining cellular homeostasis. DUSP12 is predominantly localized in the nucleus and exhibits the highest expression levels in the ovary, testis, spleen, and blood leukocytes. Utilizing zinc as a cofactor, DUSP12 catalyzes the conversion of protein tyrosine phosphate to protein tyrosine and free phosphate, highlighting DUSP12′s importance in modulating cellular proliferation and differentiation.
