    SEE ALSO...

DUS1L Antibody (H-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects DUS1L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DUS1L antibody (H-12) is available as the non-conjugated form. DUS1L, also known as dihydrouridine synthase 1-like, tRNA-dihydrouridine synthase 1-like, DUS1, or PP3111, is a 473 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in the modification of tRNA molecules by catalyzing the synthesis of dihydrouridine, a modified base found in the D-loop of many tRNAs. This modification is essential for proper folding and stability of tRNA, which in turn is vital for accurate protein synthesis and cellular function. DUS1L binds to flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) as a cofactor, and DUS1L gene is located on human chromosome 17, a region significant due to its association with key tumor suppressor genes such as p53 and BRCA1. p53 protein is critical for maintaining cellular genetic integrity, as p53 regulates cell fate decisions between DNA repair and apoptosis, while BRCA1 is recognized for its role in DNA repair and its association with hereditary breast and ovarian cancers. DUS1L′s importance in tRNA modification highlights its potential impact on gene expression and cellular health, making DUS1L a valuable target for research in cancer biology and other diseases.
