DR4 Antibody (B-N28) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DR4 in human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP) applications. DR4, also known as death receptor 4, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and plays a crucial role in mediating apoptosis, particularly in response to the cytokine TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand). Anti-DR4 antibody (B-N28) recognizes a protein essential for initiating apoptotic signaling pathways, which are vital for regulating cell death and maintaining tissue homeostasis. When TRAIL binds to DR4, a cascade of intracellular events triggers the activation of caspases, ultimately resulting in programmed cell death. This process is essential for eliminating damaged or unwanted cells, thus preventing the development of cancer and other diseases. Additionally, DR4′s interaction with TRAIL is of great interest in cancer therapy, as enhancing this pathway could promote the death of tumor cells while sparing normal cells. DR4 (B-N28) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying apoptosis and its implications in various diseases, including cancer, making DR4 (B-N28) monoclonal antibody a critical asset in biomedical research.

I am using DR4 (B-N28): sc-65312 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
