    SEE ALSO...

DPP7 Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DPP7 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DPP7 (H-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dipeptidyl peptidases (DPPs) play a crucial role in regulating the activity of their substrates and have been implicated in several diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer. DPP7, also known as dipeptidyl-peptidase 7, DPP2, DPPII, or quiescent cell proline dipeptidase, is primarily located in lysosomes and is expressed in quiescent lymphocytes. DPP7′s ability to cleave Xaa-Pro dipeptides from the N-termini of proteins is vital for the degradation of oligopeptides, which in turn influences various cellular processes. Notably, DPP7 exists as a homodimer through its leucine zipper motif, and DPP7 secretion in response to calcium release is essential for lymphocyte survival, as inhibition of DPP7 leads to apoptosis in quiescent cells. Furthermore, DPP7 interacts with specific voltage-gated potassium channels, potentially altering their expression and biophysical properties, which may also impact T cell function. DPP7′s presence is critical for maintaining immune homeostasis, making DPP7 a significant target for therapeutic interventions in related diseases.
