    SEE ALSO...

DPEP3 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects DPEP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DPEP3 antibody (F-3) is available as the non-conjugated form. DPEP3, also known as dipeptidase 3 or membrane-bound dipeptidase 3, is a 488 amino acid protein that belongs to the peptidase M19 family and functions as a metalloprotease. DPEP3 is primarily located in the cell membrane of testicular cells, where DPEP3 plays a crucial role in meiosis, essential for sperm cell formation. DPEP3 is vital for male fertility, as DPEP3 is involved in dipeptide hydrolysis and may influence amino acid availability necessary for sperm development. DPEP3 exists as a disulfide-linked homodimer and binds zinc as a cofactor, which is critical for enzymatic activity. Additionally, DPEP3 is inhibited by L-penicillamine and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 16q22.1, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including giant axonal neuropathy and Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome. DPEP3 presence in the testis highlights DPEP3′s importance in reproductive biology and potential implications in fertility research.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515350 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
