DOCK 2 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DOCK 2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DOCK 2 Antibody (E-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The DOCK2 gene encodes dedicator of cytokinesis 2 (DOCK 2), a crucial protein that plays a significant role in lymphocyte chemotaxis, which is essential for the immune response. DOCK 2 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is involved in the cytoskeletal rearrangements necessary for lymphocyte migration in response to chemokines. This peripheral membrane protein activates Rac 1 and Rac 2 small GTPases, functioning as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that facilitates the exchange of GDP for GTP. Additionally, DOCK 2 is implicated in the transcriptional activation of interleukin-2 through Rac 2 activation. Structurally, DOCK 2 contains one DHR-1 (CZH-1) domain, one DHR-2 (CZH-2) domain, and one SH3 domain, with the DHR-2 domain believed to mediate GEF activity. DOCK 2 co-localizes with F-Actin and exhibits expression in various human tissues, with the highest levels found in peripheral blood leukocytes, thymus, spleen, and liver, highlighting its importance in immune system function and cellular signaling pathways.
