SEE ALSO...

Dnmt3L Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects Dnmt3L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dnmt3L antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dnmt3L protein, which is 387 amino acids in length and contains an ADD-type zinc finger, plays a crucial role in the regulation of gene expression through involvement in DNA methylation processes. Although Dnmt3L lacks intrinsic DNA methyltransferase activity, Dnmt3L remains essential for stimulating de novo methylation by other Dnmt family members, particularly Dnmt3a and Dnmt3b, thereby influencing genomic imprinting and epigenetic regulation. Dnmt3L protein is primarily localized in the nucleus and expressed at low levels in tissues such as the thymus, testis, and ovary. Notably, Dnmt3L interacts with histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1), which enhances transcriptional repression capabilities, further underscoring significance in epigenetic modifications. Multiple isoforms of Dnmt3L arise from alternative splicing, contributing to the complexity of regulatory functions in cellular processes.
