Datasheets
  • DNA-PKCS Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b κ, cited in 18 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 3488-3511 of DNA-PKcs of human origin
  • recommended for detection of DNA-PKcs of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • See DNA-PKCS (G-12): sc-390849 for DNA-PKCS antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for DNA-PKCS Antibody (E-6) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with DNA-PKCS Antibody (E-6) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

DNA-PKCS Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects DNA-PKCS in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DNA-PKCS, a critical component of the DNA-dependent protein kinase complex, plays a vital role in the repair of double-strand breaks (DSBs) in DNA, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability and preventing cancer. DNA-PKCS is primarily located in the nucleus, where DNA-PKCS is involved in the non-homologous end joining (NHEJ) pathway, a key mechanism for repairing DSBs that can arise from environmental factors or during normal cellular processes such as V(D)J recombination. Proper functioning of DNA-PKCS is crucial, as defects in DNA-PKCS can lead to severe consequences, including increased sensitivity to ionizing radiation and a higher risk of developing malignancies. Additionally, DNA-PKCS interacts with other proteins in the NHEJ pathway, such as Ku70/Ku80, to form a complex that recognizes and binds to DSBs, facilitating their repair. anti-DNA-PKCS antibody (E-6) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA repair mechanisms, cancer biology, and the cellular response to DNA damage.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390698 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
