SEE ALSO...

Dermcidin Antibody (G-81) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects Dermcidin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Dermcidin antibody (G-81) is available as non-conjugated format. Dermcidin, encoded by the Dermcidin gene, plays a crucial role in innate immune response by producing antimicrobial peptides that help protect against infections. Dermcidin (G-81) antibody recognizes protein constitutively expressed in sweat glands and secreted into sweat, where antimicrobial peptides are transported to the epidermal surface, protecting against various pathogenic microorganisms. This function provides a first line of defense against skin infections. Research has shown Dermcidin overexpression in breast cancer cells promotes cell growth and survival, associated with a focal copy number gain of its locus on human chromosome 12q13.2, highlighting potential roles in cancer biology.

Are there any issues with using sc-33656: Dermcidin (G-81) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-33656 conjugates.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good.I asked a free sample and SCBT sent it out quickly, but before receiving the free one I ordered one more through my Manager. It works great for Western blotting, but I have not try it for IHC.
