Dermatopontin Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dermatopontin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dermatopontin (F-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dermatopontin, also referred to as TRAMP or DPT, is a 201 amino acid secreted protein that belongs to the Dermatopontin family and is primarily expressed in fibroblasts, heart, skeletal muscle, brain, and pancreas. Dermatopontin plays a crucial role in cell-matrix interactions and matrix assembly, acting as a communication link between dermal fibroblasts and their extracellular matrix environment. The structural integrity of Dermatopontin is vital, as Dermatopontin contributes to skin elasticity and collagen accumulation through collagen fibrillogenesis. Dermatopontin stabilizes collagen fibrils against low-temperature dissociation and is induced by transforming growth factor beta 1 while being inhibited by interleukin-4. Dermatopontin′s involvement in prostate cancer pathogenesis and growth highlights its significance, as Dermatopontin enhances transforming growth factor beta 1 activity and inhibits cell proliferation, making Dermatopontin a key player in both normal physiological processes and disease states.
