DDX8 Antibody (F-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX8 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DDX8 antibody (F-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX8, also known as DEAH box polypeptide 8 or DHX8, plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, particularly in pre-mRNA splicing, which is essential for proper gene expression. DDX8 structure includes a conserved DEAH box motif, characteristic of RNA helicases, and an arginine- and serine-rich domain that facilitates spliceosome interaction. This interaction enables assembly and function of the spliceosome, a complex responsible for removing introns from pre-mRNA, ensuring correct exon joining to form mature mRNA. DDX8 function is critical for gene expression, embryogenesis, and cellular growth, highlighting significance in both normal physiology and potential disease states.
