    SEE ALSO...

DDX46 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX46 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDX46 Antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX46, also known as DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) box polypeptide 46 or PRPF5, is a 1,031 amino acid protein that plays a pivotal role in pre-mRNA splicing as an integral component of the 17S U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP). DDX46 is primarily localized to nuclear speckles, which are essential for the assembly and modification of RNA-protein complexes involved in splicing. DDX46′s presence in these nuclear domains highlights its importance in regulating gene expression and ensuring proper RNA processing, which is crucial for cellular function and development. Additionally, DDX46 is characterized by its helicase C-terminal domain and helicase ATP-binding domain, which are vital for RNA unwinding activity, further underscoring DDX46′s role in facilitating the dynamic changes in RNA structure necessary for effective splicing and ribonucleoprotein complex formation.
