DDX33 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX33 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DDX33 antibody (B-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX33, also known as DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-His) box polypeptide 33, is a 707 amino acid nucleolar protein that plays a crucial role in RNA metabolism, particularly in unwinding RNA structures, which is essential for processes such as ribosome assembly and spliceosome function. DDX33′s helicase activity is vital for proper modification of RNA secondary structures, thereby influencing gene expression and cellular responses. DDX33 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 17, which comprises over 2.5% of the human genome and encodes more than 1,200 genes. Alternative splicing of DDX33 gene results in two isoforms, highlighting this protein′s complexity and regulatory potential in various biological contexts.
