DDX17 Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects DDX17 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDX17, also known as p72, is a member of the DEAD box protein family, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp, which plays a crucial role as a putative RNA helicase involved in various cellular processes, including translation initiation and RNA splicing. DDX17′s ability to modulate RNA secondary structure is vital for the proper assembly of ribosomes and spliceosomes, which are essential for protein synthesis and gene expression regulation. DDX17 is highly homologous to DDX5 (p68) and has been shown to act as a transcriptional co-regulator for key transcription factors such as estrogen receptor alpha, p53, MyoD, and Runx2, thereby influencing cellular growth and differentiation. Notably, impairment of DDX17 function has been linked to developmental disorders, including Down Syndrome, highlighting DDX17′s importance in early brain development. Anti-DDX17 antibody (F-4) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the roles of RNA helicases in cellular processes and their implications in various diseases.
