DDEF1 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DDEF1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDEF1 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDEF1, also known as development and differentiation enhancing factor 1, ASAP1, AMAP1, or PAG2, functions as an ADP ribosylation factor (ARF)-GTPase activating protein (GAP) that plays a crucial role in regulating cellular signaling pathways. DDEF1 is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and at newly formed focal complexes at the cell periphery, where DDEF1 interacts with key signaling proteins such as ARF1, ARF5, ARF6, and SRK (ZAP-70). These interactions are vital for influencing cell motility and actin cytoskeletal remodeling, as well as for the differentiation of adipocytes and fibroblasts. DDEF1 contains two ankyrin repeats, one ARF-GAP domain, one SH3 domain, and one pleckstrin homology domain, which are essential for the phosphoinositide-dependent regulation of ARFs. Notably, DDEF1 overexpression has been associated with the inhibition of invasion and metastasis in breast cancer and high-grade uveal melanomas, highlighting DDEF1′s potential as a therapeutic target and diagnostic marker for specific cancers.
