DC Marker Antibody (33D1) is a rat monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects the DC Marker protein of mouse origin by immunofluorescence (IF) and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-DC Marker antibody (33D1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DC Marker (33D1) antibody specifically targets an antigen found on the majority of dendritic cells (DC) located in the spleen, lymph nodes, and Peyer′s patches, while showing no reactivity with liver, bone marrow, or epidermal dendritic cells, macrophages, other leukocytes, or erythroid cells. DC Marker (33D1) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein crucial for immune system function, particularly in antigen presentation for T cell activation and adaptive immune response. Expression of the 33D1 antigen can be induced in bone marrow-derived dendritic cells through culture with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), while adding interleukin-4 (IL-4) in these cultures leads to down-regulation of 33D1 expression, highlighting the dynamic regulation of this immune marker.
