    SEE ALSO...

DBR1 Antibody (3A7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DBR1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DBR1 antibody (3A7) is available as the non-conjugated format. DBR1, also known as debranching enzyme homolog 1, is a 544 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in RNA processing by localizing to the nucleus and belonging to the lariat debranching enzyme family. DBR1 catalyzes the cleavage of the 2′-5′ phosphodiester linkage at the branch point of lariat intron pre-mRNAs, converting these lariat structures into linear molecules that can be further degraded. This enzymatic activity is vital for ribonucleotide turnover and is particularly important in retroviral replication, including HIV-1, highlighting DBR1′s significance in viral pathogenesis and cellular RNA metabolism. Human DBR1 exhibits 79% homology with its mouse counterpart, indicating a conserved functional role across species, and is expressed as two alternatively spliced isoforms encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 3.

I am using DBR1 (3A7): sc-517060 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
