SEE ALSO...

DAP-3 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DAP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DAP-3 Antibody (F-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Death-associated protein 3 (DAP-3) is a nucleotide-binding protein characterized by a potential P-loop motif, playing a crucial role as a positive mediator of programmed cell death. DAP-3 is required for apoptosis induction, with the full-length protein being essential for activity. DAP-3 operates downstream of receptor signaling complexes, and pro-apoptotic effects are contingent upon caspase activity. DAP-3 interacts with the glucocorticoid receptor (GR), specifically within the amino-terminal region, acting in a dominant-negative manner to protect cells from apoptosis. This interaction highlights DAP-3′s importance in cellular survival mechanisms. DAP-3 is conserved both functionally and structurally, exhibiting ubiquitous expression in highly proliferative epithelial compartments across various tissues. DAP-3 maintains mitochondrial localization during apoptosis induction, underscoring a unique role in cell death pathways.
