    SEE ALSO...

DANGER Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DANGER protein of mouse origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DANGER antibody (H-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DANGER protein, also known as inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptor-interacting protein (ITPRIP) or KIAA1754, is a crucial 547 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in calcium signaling by interacting with inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptors (IP3Rs). IP3Rs are essential for mediating calcium release from the endoplasmic reticulum, which is vital for various cellular processes, including muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and cell proliferation. DANGER enhances the Ca(2+)-regulated inhibition of IP3R-mediated calcium release, thereby fine-tuning calcium signaling pathways. DANGER gene is located on human chromosome 10, which spans nearly 135 million base pairs and contains approximately 1,200 genes, including those involved in critical biological functions such as immune response and cell adhesion. Understanding DANGER′s role in calcium signaling is important for elucidating potential implications in various physiological and pathological processes, including neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-514861 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
