CYP2C6 Antibody (K1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP2C6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP2C6 antibody (K1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP2C6 belongs to the cytochrome P450 family, which plays a crucial role in the oxidation of therapeutic agents, steroids, and fatty acids, influencing drug metabolism and essential lipid synthesis. CYP2C6 expression occurs primarily in the liver and can be induced by phenobarbital, highlighting its importance in drug metabolism and detoxification processes. This protein actively metabolizes various therapeutic drugs, including warfarin and omeprazole, which are critical for managing cardiovascular and gastrointestinal conditions.
