Cyclin T2a/b Antibody (2128C1a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects cyclin T2a/b protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-cyclin T2a/b antibody (2128C1a) is available as a non-conjugated format. Cyclin T2 plays a crucial role in regulating transcription elongation by RNA polymerase II, functioning as a key component of positive transcription elongation factor b (P-TEFb) complex, which is essential for RNA polymerase II transition from transcription initiation to elongation. Cyclin T2 exists in two isoforms, T2a and T2b, generated through alternative splicing, and while both isoforms bind to cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (Cdk9), each exhibits distinct regulatory roles in transcriptional control.
