SEE ALSO...

Cyclin D2 Antibody (DCS-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect cyclin D2, an essential regulator of the cell cycle. Cyclin D2, also referred to as Ccnd2, cD2, Vin1, and Vin-1, plays a pivotal role in controlling the transition from the G1 phase to the S phase by forming complexes with cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdk4 and Cdk6) within the nucleus, where it phosphorylates the retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, leading to the activation of E2F transcription factors that are crucial for DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. The precise nuclear localization of cyclin D2 is vital for its function in driving cell cycle progression, making cyclin D2 a key player in normal cellular growth and an important factor in the development of various cancers when dysregulated. Anti-cyclin D2 antibody (DCS-3) is raised against the full-length human cyclin D2 protein and exhibits robust reactivity across mouse, rat, and human species in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Available in both non-conjugated form and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, cyclin D2 (DCS-3) antibody offers versatility for diverse research applications. By enabling accurate detection and study of cyclin D2′s localization and function within the cell, cyclin D2 monoclonal antibody (DCS-3) supports advancements in understanding cell cycle regulation and the molecular mechanisms underlying oncogenesis, making cyclin D2 (DCS-3) antibody an invaluable tool for cancer research and therapeutic development.
