Cyclin B1 Antibody (V92.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody raised against hamster-origin cyclin B1, reacting with mouse, rat, hamster, and human species. Anti-cyclin B1 antibody (V92.1) is suitable for applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Cyclin B1, also known as G2/mitotic-specific cyclin-B1 or CCNB1, is a regulatory protein essential for controlling the transition from the G2 phase to mitosis during the cell cycle. Cyclin B1 forms a complex with cyclin-dependent kinase 1 (CDK1), also known as CDC2, creating the maturation-promoting factor (MPF) that initiates mitosis by phosphorylating target substrates. Cyclin B1 interacts with several key proteins, including Cdc25C phosphatase, which activates the cyclin B1/CDK1 complex by dephosphorylating CDK1, and Wee1 kinase, which inhibits CDK1 through phosphorylation. Cyclin B1 associates with 14-3-3 proteins that regulate subcellular localization and stability. These interactions are crucial for the precise timing and regulation of mitosis, and dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation associated with cancer.
