CUZD1 Antibody (E-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CUZD1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CUZD1 antibody (E-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CUZD1, also known as CUB and zona pellucida-like domains 1 or ERG-1 (estrogen regulated gene 1), is a 607 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein characterized by the presence of two CUB domains and a zona pellucida domain. CUZD1 is predominantly expressed in the pancreas and ovarian epithelium, with significantly elevated levels observed in ovarian tumors, highlighting a potential role in cancer biology. CUZD1 inhibits cell attachment and proliferation of ovarian cancer cells, thereby influencing cell motility and interactions with the extracellular matrix, which are critical processes in tumor progression and metastasis. The gene encoding CUZD1 is located on human chromosome 10, which contains approximately 800 genes, including important tumor suppressor genes such as PTEN, linked to Cowden syndrome, and ERCC6, associated with DNA repair and Cockayne syndrome. Understanding CUZD1′s function and interactions within the cellular environment is essential for elucidating a role in cancer and developing targeted therapies.
