    SEE ALSO...

CTNNBL1 Antibody (S5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects CTNNBL1 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CTNNBL1, also known as nuclear-associated protein (NAP) or P14L, is an evolutionarily conserved protein that shares structural similarities with members of the armadillo family, such as β-catenin. Anti-CTNNBL1 antibody (S5) targets a protein predominantly localized in the nucleus, where CTNNBL1 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, including apoptosis, due to its C-terminal domain. The presence of a bipartite nuclear localization signal, along with multiple phosphorylation sites, underscores CTNNBL1′s importance in regulating gene expression and cellular signaling pathways. Notably, CTNNBL1 has been implicated in metabolic processes, as several single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with CTNNBL1 have been linked to variations in fat mass and body mass index (BMI), highlighting CTNNBL1′s potential role in obesity development. With diverse applications and significant biological implications, CTNNBL1 monoclonal antibody (S5) serves as an essential tool for researchers investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying various physiological and pathological conditions.

Can sc-81792: CTNNBL1 (S5) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-81792: CTNNBL1 (S5) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
