Datasheets
  • CSN1 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 31-263 mapping within an internal region of CSN1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CSN1 of human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for CSN1 Antibody (D-4) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with CSN1 Antibody (D-4) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

CSN1 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CSN1 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CSN1, a crucial component of the COP9 signalosome complex, plays a significant role in regulating the ubiquitin conjugation pathway, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating protein degradation. The COP9 signalosome is composed of several proteins, including CSN2, CSN3, CSN4, CSN5, CSN6, CSN7a, CSN7b, and CSN8, and is essential for the deneddylation of SCF-type E3 ligase complexes, thereby modulating ubiquitin ligase activity. This regulation influences the stability and degradation of key proteins involved in various cellular processes, such as cell cycle progression and response to stress. CSN1 is involved in the phosphorylation of critical proteins like p53 and c-Jun, which are pivotal in controlling cell growth and apoptosis. CSN1′s interaction with these proteins underscores its importance in cellular signaling pathways and highlights potential therapeutic interventions in diseases characterized by dysregulated protein degradation.

Can CSN1 (D-4): sc-365617 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. Yes, CSN1 (D-4): sc-365617 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
