CRMP-5 Antibody (CR-3) is a rat monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CRMP-5 in mouse, rat, human, and bovine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF). CRMP-5, a member of the collapsin response mediator protein family, plays a crucial role in neuronal development and plasticity by mediating signal transduction in response to the axon guidance molecule Semaphorin 3A. CRMP-5 is primarily located in the filopodia of growth cones, where CRMP-5 is essential for the proper formation and stabilization of synaptic connections during neural development. CRMP-5′s presence in adult central and peripheral neurons, including synapses, highlights CRMP-5′s importance in maintaining neuronal function and adaptability.
