CRMP-5 Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CRMP-5 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRMP-5, a member of the collapsin response mediator protein family, plays a crucial role in neuronal development and plasticity by mediating signal transduction in response to the axon guidance molecule Semaphorin 3A. CRMP-5 is primarily located in the filopodia of growth cones during development, which is essential for the proper formation of neural connections. In adult neurons, CRMP-5 continues to be expressed in synapses, highlighting CRMP-5′s importance in maintaining synaptic plasticity and facilitating communication between neurons.
