SEE ALSO...

CRM1 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CRM1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRM1 (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, such as agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CRM1, also known as exportin 1, plays a crucial role in nuclear export of proteins and RNA, facilitating transport of molecules from nucleus to cytoplasm. This process maintains cellular function and regulates gene expression by ensuring proteins involved in various cellular processes are appropriately localized. CRM1 specifically recognizes proteins containing a nuclear export signal (NES), allowing selective export of these proteins, which is essential for processes such as cell signaling and response to stress. CRM1 also interacts with several other proteins, including karyopherin alpha1 and karyopherin beta1 subunits, which are key players in nuclear transport mechanism. Understanding CRM1′s function and interactions helps elucidate nucleocytoplasmic transport complexities and implications in various diseases, including cancer and viral infections.

I am using CRM1 (H-7): sc-74455 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Cweed
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
