SEE ALSO...

CRF-BP Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CRF-BP of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CRF-BP (C-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CRF-BP plays a crucial role in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which is essential for the body′s response to stress. By binding to corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH), CRF-BP inactivates this hormone, thereby preventing excessive stimulation of the pituitary gland and subsequent adrenal hormone release. This regulatory mechanism is particularly important during pregnancy, where CRF-BP helps to modulate the levels of CRH produced in the placenta, ensuring a balanced response to stressors. The gene encoding CRF-BP is located on human chromosome 5q11.2-q13.3, and CRF-BP expression is vital for maintaining homeostasis in the face of physiological challenges.
