CREB3L3 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CREB3L3 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CREB3L3, also known as cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 3-like protein 3 or HYST1481, is a 461 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). CREB3L3 undergoes cleavage during ER stress and translocates to the nucleus to function as a transcription factor. In this capacity, CREB3L3 activates genes involved in the unfolded protein response and the acute phase response, both vital for cellular homeostasis and stress management. CREB3L3 shows reduced expression in hepatocellular carcinoma, suggesting a potential tumor suppressor role. CREB3L3 operates as a dimer and features a leucine zipper domain, a KDEL-like sequence, and a bZIP domain, which are essential for DNA binding capabilities. Alternative splicing results in three distinct isoforms of CREB3L3, further diversifying functional roles in cellular processes.
