SEE ALSO...

CPTII Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CPTII protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CPTII antibody (G-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPTII protein plays a crucial role in the mitochondrial β-oxidation of long-chain fatty acids, specifically functioning as a key enzyme that catalyzes the final step in the transport of acylcarnitines into the mitochondria for energy production. This process is vital for maintaining cellular energy homeostasis, particularly in tissues that rely heavily on fatty acid oxidation, such as the heart and skeletal muscle. Deficiencies in CPTII can lead to metabolic disorders, highlighting the importance of CPTII protein in both normal physiology and disease states. CPTII (G-5) antibody is an essential tool for researchers studying fatty acid metabolism, mitochondrial function, and related metabolic disorders, providing reliable detection and characterization of CPTII protein across various experimental applications.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with CPTII (G-5): sc-377294?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean and specificWorked well for WB (mouse heart, one band at expected size). Originally ordered nonconjugated antibody which could not be delivered until Monday, however, we'd have a lockdown on Friday due to Covid19. Contacted customer service on Thursday afternoon, they were able to get me the HRP conjugated antibody delivered by Friday 1pm, and I got the result right before lockdown. Very happy about the results, perfect for my paper revision. Thank you!
