CPSF6 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CPSF6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CPSF6 antibody (F-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CPSF6, also known as CFIm68, plays a crucial role in the processing of 3′ ends of eukaryotic mRNAs, which involves endonucleolytic cleavage and polyadenylation. This process is essential for the stability and translation of mRNA, impacting gene expression and cellular function. CPSF6 is a key component of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex, which is vital for the first step in pre-mRNA processing. Structurally, CPSF6 contains an N-terminal RNA recognition motif and a C-terminal RS-like domain, allowing CPSF6 to interact with other proteins such as SRp20, Tra-2β, and 9G8. CPSF6 localizes to paraspeckles and forms a heterodimer with NUDT21, contributing to the CFIm complex that is essential for mRNA processing. The presence of CPSF6 in only half of the heterodimer combinations highlights a unique role in the regulation of mRNA metabolism, making CPSF6 a significant target for research in gene expression and related disorders.

I am using CPSF6 (F-3): sc-376228 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: cjMara
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
