Cortisol Antibody (XM210) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects cortisol in human samples through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cortisol, the most potent glucocorticoid produced by the human adrenal cortex, plays a crucial role in the body′s response to stress by regulating various physiological processes. Cortisol is synthesized from cholesterol, with production stimulated by pituitary adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), which is regulated by corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF).
