Copine 1 Antibody (Z6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects the copine 1 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-copine 1 antibody (Z6) is available as the non-conjugated format. Copine 1, also known as CPNE1, CPN1, or COPN1, is a crucial member of the copine family of evolutionarily conserved, soluble, calcium-dependent, membrane-binding proteins, which play significant roles in signal transduction and membrane trafficking. Copine 1 is ubiquitously expressed and features a unique structure comprising two N-terminal C2 domains and one C-terminal von Willebrand factor A (VWFA) domain, also referred to as the A domain or core domain. These domains enable copine 1 to bind phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner, facilitating membrane trafficking functions. Copine 1′s VWFA domain allows direct interaction with the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme UBC12, suggesting involvement in the regulation of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) signaling pathways. This interaction highlights copine 1′s importance in cellular signaling processes, making copine 1 a valuable target for research in various biological contexts.
