CNOT6 Antibody (2193C2a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CNOT6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CNOT6 antibody (2193C2a) is available as a non-conjugated format, specifically designed to target CNOT6 protein, which is a crucial component of the CCR4-NOT transcription complex. This complex plays a vital role in regulating gene expression and mRNA degradation, making CNOT6 essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental changes. CNOT6, belonging to the CCR4/nocturin family, contains three leucine-rich repeats, which are important for protein-protein interactions and stability. In the cytoplasm, CNOT6 functions as a poly(A) nuclease, facilitating the decay of mRNA, particularly through interaction with the major-protein-coding determinant of instability (mCRD) of the Fos gene. This process is critical for controlling the levels of specific mRNAs, thereby influencing various cellular processes such as differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis. CNOT6′s ability to modulate mRNA stability highlights significance in post-transcriptional regulation and potential implications in diseases where mRNA turnover is disrupted.

CNOT6 Antibody (2193C2a)

sc-81231
100 µg/ml
$333.00

I am using CNOT6 (2193C2a): sc-81231 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
