CLIM-2 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CLIM-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CLIM-2 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLIM-2 plays a crucial role in forming transcriptional regulatory complexes, particularly with LIM-only (LMO) proteins, which are essential for gene expression regulation. LMO1 and LMO2 are characterized by a conserved LIM domain that facilitates interaction with other nuclear factors, such as nuclear LIM interactor (NLI), also known as CLIM-1. CLIM-2 interaction with NLI is vital for assembling heteromeric LIM complexes, which regulate gene expression and enhance nuclear retention of LIM proteins, influencing cellular differentiation and function. LMO proteins and CLIM-2 expression is tightly regulated in various tissues, including the central nervous system and thymic precursor cells, highlighting their importance in developmental processes and cellular identity.

If I want to dilute the antibody solution, what should I use as the diluent?

Asked by: samuelc
Thank you for your question. The recommended diluent varies for what application you wish to use the antibody for. For example, for Western blot we recommend diluting and incubating in 5% milk with TBS-T while for IF/IHC we recommend a blocking serum or a blocking reagent. If you just wish to dilute your vial, then I would suggest PBS.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365074 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
