CLC-3 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CLC-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CLC-3 antibody (H-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CLC-3 protein is a member of the voltage-dependent chloride channel family, which plays a crucial role in regulating chloride ion transport across cellular membranes, thereby influencing cellular excitability, volume regulation, and organic solute transport. CLC-3 is predominantly expressed in neuronal tissues, where CLC-3 is involved in maintaining electrochemical gradients essential for neurotransmission and neuronal signaling. Proper functioning of CLC-3 is vital for neuronal health, and dysregulation of chloride channels has been implicated in various neurological disorders. Additionally, genes encoding CLC family members are mapped to specific chromosomes, highlighting evolutionary significance and potential as therapeutic targets in conditions such as cystic fibrosis and myotonia.
