SEE ALSO...

claudin-10 Antibody (H-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects claudin-10 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-claudin-10 antibody (H-10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. claudin-10 is a critical component of tight junctions, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of epithelial and endothelial barriers. These tight junctions regulate paracellular transport, ensuring that substances pass through the spaces between cells in a controlled manner. claudin-10 consists of four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops, which facilitate its role in cell adhesion and the formation of tight junction strands. Notably, claudin-10 is involved in the selective permeability of tight junctions, allowing for the passage of certain ions and small molecules while blocking others, which is vital for maintaining homeostasis in various tissues. Expression of claudin-10 is often tissue-specific, highlighting its importance in the physiological functions of different organs. This 228 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein not only contributes to the structural framework of tight junctions but also plays a significant role in signaling pathways that regulate cell behavior and tissue function.
