CKR-2B Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the CKR-2B protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CKR-2B antibody (A-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CKR-2B, also known as C-C chemokine receptor type 2, is a 374 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the chemotaxis of monocytes and T cells to sites of inflammation. This receptor is part of the C-C chemokine receptor family, which is characterized by a pair of adjacent cysteine residues and is essential for the activation and recruitment of immune cells. CKR-2B specifically binds to chemokines such as monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and MCP-3, leading to increased intracellular calcium levels and subsequent signal transduction that influences various cellular responses. Proper functioning of CKR-2B is vital for maintaining immune homeostasis and responding to inflammatory signals; however, dysregulation of this receptor has been implicated in various pathological conditions, including chronic inflammatory diseases and certain viral infections.
